My Journey to Animal Communication
and Energy Healing
When I was growing up, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian so I could help animals and the people who loved them. My Dad told me that I could do anything, and encouraged me to pursue that dream.
When I was 13, my parents divorced, my Dad moved away and my Mom remarried. The foundation beneath me suddenly felt uncertain. While my dream of helping animals and their people remained, I lacked the confidence and support I needed to continue pursuing veterinary medicine.

The very first thing I did when I was finally living on my own as an adult was to bring home a puppy. Since that time, there have only been a few months of my life that I have not shared my home with a furry family member.
Thirteen years after bringing that first puppy home, I began to sense that her time to cross over was approaching. Her veterinarian worked with an animal communicator when he was working with animals from shelters. He explained about animal communication and I was fascinated. I scheduled a session the next day.
The experience stayed with me. During that session, my dog shared that she valued her dignity and would let me know when she was ready to let go. Receiving that message helped me understand her needs in a way I had never experienced before.
Four years later, I scheduled another animal communication session for a different animal because of what I believed were behavioral concerns. That second experience was equally meaningful. It showed me that intuitively connecting with animals was not only possible, but it could completely transform the way we understand and relate to them.
Still, it wasn't until the the passing of my soul animal 16 years later that I discovered Danielle MacKinnon and her animal communication school. I was inconsolable and grieving deeply, and that loss ultimately led me back to the dream I had carried in my heart since childhood.
Nearly six years ago, I began formally studying animal communication.
My childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian had changed, but my desire to help animals and the people who love them remained as strong as ever. I’ll never forget the first time I connected with an animal and received a specific message for his human companion. It was a profound moment that confirmed I had found the work I was meant to do.
My desire to support the well-being of animals and their families eventually led me to the Heart Frequency Healing™ Program, where I became certified in Energy Healing with Animals.
By blending animal communication with gentle, heart-centered energy healing, I help animals and their people feel more connected and supported through stress, anxiety, behavioral challenges, physical concerns, life transitions, and end-of-life care.
To my surprise, this path also became a meaningful
healing journey for my own heart. Through this work, I
began processing experiences from my childhood and
understanding how deeply animals can support our own
healing and growth.
For more than five years, I have had the privilege of helping animals and their families communicate more clearly, deepen their relationships, and move through challenges together.
I have also enjoyed sharing what I have learned through my work as a teaching assistant with the Danielle MacKinnon School and at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck.
My childhood dream may have changed, but my heart never did. Through this work, I get to help animals and the people who love them.
